The Oriental White Stork is a giant, about one meter high, highly demanding living environment, and very sensitive to environmental changes. It is considered as the flagship species of wetlands, and human protection is important for the restoration of this population.
From 2015, Honghe Nature Reserve began to carry out satellite hidden gps tracking of Oriental White Stork, collecting data and information on its breeding, foraging and international migration routes.
